I created a silicone mould to produce 20 knobs using various materials. A typical door knob is made of a rigid material such as steel, plastic, or wood. However, in my recent work, the knobs contain some unexpected twists in material. For instance, I coated the silicone handles with resin, giving them a visually rigid appearance but a soft feel upon touch. The main intention of 'Grab' was to increase the audience's awareness, as they often become apathetic towards their senses. Thus, by involving unexpected tactile experiences with the handles, participants' senses would be stimulated.

The handshake of a door knob determines our reaction to the intimate contact with flesh. Therefore, by shaking hands with the building's handle, you can gauge whether the space is hospitable or defensive. 'Grab' was heavily influenced by the lack of tactility during the pandemic, reminding me of the importance of sensibility in our lives. Consequently, the subject matters that cooperate with sensory experience and environment have a strong influence on my outcome.
